sharpken, while I am not a fan of the blade design, I love everything about the handle! And the specs are incredible for 60 bucks! After not having bought any new knives for many months I just ordered one of these small coin knives and a fake ZT 0456.

This is the second X-large folder blade I have. My first 5.5" folder is the Camillus CUDA MAXX 5.5. The DDR AXD 5.5 is too big for EDC but interesting tanto blade.
Lobster, I assume you mean the ZT 0456. Nice clone.

The Ganzos are Smooth as butter! Axis-Locks needed some tweeking. Took them apart and softened the lock springs and smoothed out all the surface areas.I got the TS-21 today. REALLY impressed with Quality and smoothness of the flipper on ball bearings.IMHO the true sign of an excellent Flipper is to see if it flips open when deployed Flipper side up horizontally.EFFORTLESS!! Will report back when the TS-30 and TS-82 get here.Just an observation, the TwoSun came drenched in some kind of oil, kind of like Peanut oil but the bearings were dry.A little bit of special sauce to them and KA-POW!

I understand you like that feature as it's on nearly every new framelock folder, but seriously, did you ever have a Ti folder that doesn't work anymore because the lock was ground off by the blade's lock face? To me that's same much a trendy thing like the lock stabilizers (or overtravel stops), looking neat but it's not really needed, the steel insert rather makes the knife cheaper to produce as it's easier to set it right as with the Ti only. If I had the choise to pay $10-20 less for the same knife without a steel insert combined with an LBS or pay more with it I'd take the cheaper version.

I agree that the insert serve more as an over-travel stop rather than with wear on the Ti lock. I had issues with my Benchmade 630 Skirmish lock detent weaken overtime because of over-travel.

I also agree regarding the steel inserts and the over travel stop. When I bought the TS20 it was only available without the lock bar insert. I am using that knife extensively and the lockup hasn't changed over time, I don't see it being a real problem. As for the over travel, while I love the look of it, it doesn't do anything for me because I close the knife with one hand.

Some knives will be the same with or without the insert, but others won't. From my experience - the cheaper ti Sebenzas and Striders had problems that could be solved with an insert. It's best quality is preventing lock-stick, especially if it is made from hard steel similar to the blade steel.

On the other hand I guess I'd prefer to heat treat the lock face with a bunsen burner or carbidize it, but yeah, I'm a tinkerer by heart

Just got a Shirogorov Poluchetkiy clone yesterday. Super smooth flipper and the blue titanium is a nice touch.
Here is my recent clone purchases with D2 blade and Ti handle:
