No, that would have to be sealed up in glass vials, I don't know if a glowing ring is even possible. It's glowing pigment (strontium aluminate) mixed with orthopedic's grade epoxy. It seems that the stuff is the same as used in the SuperLuminova watches. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Strontium_aluminateFun thing is when you sand it on a belt grinder it's starting to glow as well from the heat produced by the friction.

Interesting stuff, thanks! And properly executed as always. Thank you. One of the big advantages of my job is that we have vacuum machines to work with Alsways when I pour in the mix of epoxy, glow powder and hardener I put the piece under a vacuum for a minute to let the bubbles come up It just mustn't harden under vacuum because then the epoxy is looking like expoloded...

I don't even know what this folder is a copy of, looks like a Shiro but I couldn't find an equivalent. Anyway a great knife for 23$!

Nice blade, I think I've seen it before, too. The key is looking more like Microtech ot so, not Shiro, but in China they make Benchmade lookalike with Sebenza clips and vice versa, so you'll never know I'd ask Isti at steelreviews

Thank you If they wouldn't charge so much for the shipping of the Ruike P801 then I'd get one and make cf scales, too. There seems to be no Sanrenmu version of this knife and no Ti clone or whatever on aliexpress or dhgate. I'd really like that Ruike in Ti with Ti clip in the same shape and position as on the SRM 7129...

Now that's a pretty knife! And you didn't even mod it, right?

The sanding on the G10 was quite rough and it was for tip down carry only.
It's an interesting liner lock mechanism though as there's one thin stop pin for the closed position and a thicker one for open position. Also the clip is held by countersunk screws which hold the clip wiggle free.
With such nice details (like the also screwed thumb stud) it's strange to me that the G10 handle was dinished a bit rough and the screws on the back side are smaller than on the front

Tip down is unacceptable. Well done!

Sorry, I have been away from this forum for sometime. My office computer didn’t allow me to go on any website related to Weapons. Finally, retired from a public servant job and collecting a pension. Back to the thread question, carrying my new Chaves Redencion clone.
Can’t post photos because Photobucket is charging for their service.
What are you guys using to post photos for free?
