I have always owned and carried knives but for decades I had never had more that 3 in my possession. With my discovery of the Chinese fake knives industry some 10 years ago, I began to buy more and more knives peaking 3 years back when i bought about 20 in one year. Since then my knife purchases have dropped dramatically and over the past 5 months i have not bought a single new blade. And it's not for the want of trying, I am still browsing the internet, hang out in forums, looking for something to inspire me but rarely do I see a blade that makes me go "fancy that!" Which is kind of a shame because there has never been a better time for knife enthusiasts, there is so much great stuff out there for so little money..... But maybe it's just me getting old

I'm kinda feeling the same way, Over the years I've bought and sold many many gen mid-tech's and customs. Funny, I'll buy a knife, and after some time I'll sell it, then after some time I'll again buy another one just like it.. caught up in that "what's old becomes new" cycle. There's a lot of new and interesting designs, but only the CRK Inkosi gives me that must own feeling. About a year ago I happened upon on a youtube Shirogorov video, thats it! I was hooked. I registered on AliExp, and after a little research I started buying. I purchased from various makers a mix of Chinese designed and clones. After a few hits and misses with the quality/construction I've decided to stick with makers Kevin John and Green Thorn. So.. I'm waiting for KJ or GT to produce a $50..00 to $100.00 Inkosi clone, for me clones are a test drive before spending hundreds on the real thing.
Want list, Gen - CRK Inkosi Clone - Inkosi, small XM18 slicer blade, pocket friendly F95 all titanium w/ 2.5" to 3" cpm/d2 steel blade

Are you aware of Samier knives and A DAI? They both produce high quality clones and they both have an Inkosi on offer.

For me I go through a phases where I would look at cigars and buy a load full of stogies or a phase that I will search out a good pair of Oakley X-metal sunglasses in the spring to summer.
In the fall to winter, I will search out good Eddie Bauer men's clothing or a good blade...fake, clones, mid class or semi-custom knives.

Yeah, it's funny how these things come and go. I am curious to see if I will go back on buying like 15 knives per year, at the moment it is certainly not happening. I did buy some sunglasses though......

I've been watching these www.dhgate.com/wholesale/search.do?searchkey=INKOSI for a while now, I'm waiting for one of my regular purveyors to get one and hopefully with a revised description.. $70 to $80 seem's realistic for CPM blade steel but not for 9 series Chinese steel.

I'm just slowing down from the active aquisition phase at the moment. The trouble I'm having is there are now so many great options in the $15-$30 range that although I'm not buying as many models, I'm buying them 2 at a time (you know; one for now and one for it'd be rude not to)
And increasingly the same is happening for all sorts of goodies that are available now through Aliexpress, Gearbest, Banggood etc....
I can feel a periodic clear out coming on
