I bought this fake Spyderco Rubicon on AE for under 23$.
It is a rather large knife and at 206 grams it is a heavy bit of kit but it is a looker decently put together.
The G10 handles are nicely rounded and very smooth to the touch. The orange accents around the pivot screw and the back spacer in the same orange look very nice and everything is put together perfectly with no rough or sharp edges. The mirror finished pocket clip is right side tip only, when inside a pocket about 25mm of the knife protrude from the seam.
Depending on where you look, the blade is made either of 9Cr18MoV, 440C or 7Cr15MoV so I no idea what steel it is made of. Out of the box it came quite sharp, it takes a very keen edge but edge retention is nothing to write home about. The 4mm thick blade is flat ground and has a swedge. The flipping action is superb! Easily one of the best flippers I have ever used! It fires open with lightning speed and the ball bearings make is super smooth! There is zero play in any direction and the lockup is around 30%. The only flaw is the unlocking of the blade. The finger choil is cut very deep so to unlock you have to push hard into the lockbar before you can push sideways and this is uncomfortable. Once closed the blade is perfectly centered. The jimping on the thumb ramp provides additional grip and control.
The outstanding flipping action make this knife a joy to use and for under 25$ it is outstanding value for money. The heft and weight of the knife make it an acquired taste, it is not for everyone to carry such a bulky folder. It is an overall well made knife and I would certainly consider to buy it again!
