I have been using my Enlan EL05 since 2013. I bought it because it looks very unusual, paid under 15$.
My first impression when I received it was how short it was! However, for its size it is a very beefy and heavy folder with a solid blade.
The rosewood handles are fitting perfectly and are smooth to the touch, very comfortable to hold with no hot spots. The only issue on the handle is the lanyard hole. When closed, the edge of the blade just intersects with the rather large lanyard hole and it could, over time, nick the lanyard. See picture below. I rarely use lanyards so this is not an issue for me. The pocket clip is right side tip up only and lets about 16mm of the knife protrude from the pocket seam.
The drop point blade is made of 8Cr13MoV and is flat ground. The elongated opening hole works very well and has no sharp edges, the blade opens smoothly, has no play in any direction and is perfectly centered when closed. The liner lock is very solid as is the detent. Given its “pitbull” appearance, it’s small wonder that this knife is not ideal for stabbing things but the pronounced belly makes it a decent slicer as long as the cut material isn't too thick. The blade is easy to sharpen and has a good edge retention. I use the EL05 at work for cutting rubber and plastic hoses, nylon rope, stripping wires, slicing bags, scraping metal surfaces and light prying and the Enlan EL05 has always performed well and I would buy it again.
