Hello all, Want to share this quick little Swindle review, Out of the box.. Overall steel handle fit and finish is good, no noticeable imperfections.. spring loaded pocket clip a little weak. Blade fit and finish is okay, mirror polish acceptable not great, but acceptable. Well centered with no blade play. Flips okay (very quiet, not strong/fast). Being I'm not a fan of polished blades on a EDC, I decided to give it a stone wash. Attachment DeletedAttachment DeletedBelow pic shows the CRKT logo is now visible. CRKT has 2 blade steel variations, Chinese 8 series or Sandvik steel. Chinese seller states and the blade is stamped with S35VN.. now we know definitively it is not. Overall impression.. I like it as a $20 to $30 range EDC'er. BTW: After a good cleaning while apart it's flipping action and pocket clip are much stronger.

I have a CRKT M21 that I bought from China. I could of course be totally wrong but I think that it is coming from the same factory as the original, I had the chance to compare it with one bought from an official dealer and we couldn't find the slightest difference including the quality of the screws. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the knife!

www.fasttech.com/product/8701400 I have the original grooved Swindle and if I ever buy this "copy" I'd acid etch the blade right away. The original Sandvik steel has shown a damascus-like pattern, same as the Kershaw Leek with the same steel. Maybe I can talk a co-worker into getting this $18 version...

It's a simple frame lock. Is it? I hoped it was an interesting variation of a back lock.... That hook at the back is the pocket clip. It's looking weird but it's working well, on soft pants that is. The reason why I made this lightweight scale is that the original Swindle is way too heavy for its size, it's not comfortable to carry in jeans but dragging your soft pants. I really wish our Chinese copycats would make a Ti version as CRKT and even Ken Onion won't do it...

The first time I looked at the picture above I thought for a moment that it is the clip but then is seemed too weird.... Then sharpken's comment poked my interest
